Yes Nike's bringing back the original volt Air Zoom Talaria, but it's also got new colorways in the works.

Today, the brand dropped a press release on the returning 1997 runner, marking the first instance of it really showing off the 2016 take on the shoe. The timing is sort of strange, as at least one NikeLab location already launched the sneakers ahead of their release date.

Arriving alongside the volt pair are new colorways, seen below, that use ripstop, woven overlays, and leather collars.

Interestingly, Nike calls these "re-mastered" retros, a phrase that it's usually reserved for Jordans. There have been plenty of NikeLab retros aimed at recreating originals, but few of them have been give the re-mastered tag. It's worth noting that the volt pair isn't really a one-to-one retro regardless—the midsole and sockliner feature more modern materials this time around.

Watch for these Air Zoom Talarias to release on March 31.
