Nike stands for innovation and dating back to Bill Bowerman's days of selling shoes out of his trunk and creating outsoles in his kitchen, the brand has always pioneered running performance sneakers. This Spring, one of the brand's more peculiar sneakers is coming back with the return of the Nike Mayfly. While today's sneakers are mostly built for durability and a long lifespan, the Nike Mayfly was originally built for a "One Day Fly" and that literally meant, one race.

This time around, the Mayfly's minute lifespan has been extended with new colorways of the sneaker, including the "University Red" colorway pictured here, set to release soon at select Nike retailers. The sneaker still features the same overall look and feel of the original with the parachute-like upper and pattern intact.

There is no confirmed release date at this time but expect these to drop in the coming months.
