With the postseason looming, Nike introduces LeBron James' playoffs sneaker for this year, the LeBron 13 Elite.

While the shoe isn't as futuristic as the KD 8 Elite, it provides plenty of tech updates that separate it from James' current signature offering, the LeBron 13.

The shoe uses a Kurim cage upper, a full-length bootie and additional hex-Zoom pads on the outsoles. The Kurim, which has been used elsewhere on Nike Basketball offerings like the Kobe 9 PRM EXT, is responsible for the most noticeable aesthetic change, with the old Hyperposite-clad upper ditched for something sleeker.

The LeBron 13 Elite will launch first in the red colorway pictured on April 14. The white will release on May 5, followed by the black on May 26.
