In these final days of Kobe Bryant's NBA career, his post-game ritual involves blessing players of opposing teams with autographed sneakers.
A new piece from ESPN describes this ritual, where players like Tony Allen, Draymond Green, and Rodney Hood flock to the Lakers' locker room to try and get Bryant to sign shoes for them. In fact, he's grown so accustomed to it that he's now bringing extra pairs with him—he says he brings an average of five additional pairs for road games.
How does one qualify for a pair of autographed sneakers from Bryant? He'll give them to anyone that has "the cojones to ask."
Bryant has also signed pairs for players from other sports, giving shoes to Larry Fitzgerald and Alexander Ovechkin.
