Last night was a strange one at the Staples Center, featuring a bizarre new mascot, a billionaire dunking off a trampoline and a massive sneaker giveaway.
At Monday's home game against the Brooklyn Nets, the Los Angeles Clippers unveiled Chuck the California Condor, a Converse-clad bird who wears a "213" jersey. During the halftime hype activities, billionaire Clippers owner Steve Ballmer took to the court with Chuck, promising people in attendance free Converse Chuck Taylors if he could successfully dunk off a trampoline.
And he did, quite majestically at that.

Users on Twitter who were at the game have shared screenshots of coupons they received that are redeemable for a free pair of Converse. It's unclear if every single person in attendance got a pair, but if so that's over 18,000 pairs of Converse.
If you missed out you can still win free Chuck Taylors by following the bird on Twitter (as long as you don't mind daily updates on the goings-on of a goofy anthropomorphic bird).
