After having his sneakers made fun of, a high school student in Joliet, Ill., threatened to shoot up his school on Twitter, the Chicago Tribune reports. He's since been taken into custody and was scheduled to appear in juvenile court today.

According to Joliet police Deputy Chief Al Roechner, the 15-year-old posted "I'm going to shoot up the school for getting roasted today" on Tuesday. Police say the tweet came after the teen was made fun of for his new shoes at a basketball game where he was a spectator.

Joliet police worked with the FBI to track down the teen, taking him into custody as he arrived at school the next day.

Fortunately, there was no evidence that the teen planned to act on his threat. In a statement sent to families, the school confirmed that the safety of students "was not jeopardized at any time in relation to this incident."
