Portland's Sneaker-Themed Coffee Shop is The Most Portland Thing Ever

A new way for sneakerheads to get their caffeine fix.

Ian Williams of Portland, Ore., has one of the stranger career paths in the sneaker world, having gone from being a janitor at Nike to designing shoes to opening his own sneaker-themed coffee shop.

The Portland Business Journal reports that Williams' Deadstock Coffee at 408 N.W. Couch St. opened on Feb. 3 after existing as a coffee stand inside nearby boutique Compound Gallery. The space is decorated with mementos from his career at Nike, books about sneakers and the "Wet Floor" Dunks he designed.

Williams started at Nike in 2006 and left in 2014.
