New York Knicks rookie big man Kristaps Porzingis exploded onto the scene quicker than most expected. Among those caught off guard by his play were his partners at Nike, who didn't have any special sneakers made up for the rookie. In fact, Porzingis went as far as (terribly) customizing his own Nike Kobe 10 Elite sneakers, which he's worn faithfully throughout the season — until now.
Recently, Porzingis has been playing in what appears to be a legit Player Exclusive make-up of the Kobe 10 Elite in a Knicks-inspired colorway, a marked improvement over his custom. According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Porzingis' deal with Nike expires at the end of the season, so a few more dollars and sneakers are coming his way this summer.
