While he hasn't been making headlines for the best of reasons as of late, there is some good news on the Kanye West front.
Following their donation of 1,000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls, West and wife Kim Kardashian have each autographed shoes for the charity to auction off. Kim signed a pair of heels from her personal collection, while West autographed the "Oxford Tan" adidas Yeezy 350 Boost. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Soles4Soles and their ongoing efforts to help those in need.
“It was very generous of them and this will bring in some good cash that we can put to use on the feet of people in need,” Soles4Souls CEO Buddy Teaster told Footwear News. “Their involvement has increased awareness of [our organization] in the sneakerhead world, and a lot of support has come from their following.”
The couple first became involved with Soles4Souls when Kim saw a story about a young girl named Amelia Flores who was hoping to collect 2,000 pairs of shoes for charity. Already halfway to her goal, Flores was given the other half by West and Kardashian.
Both shoes will be auctioned off on eBay beginning today.
