The sneaker reselling space is huge – readers of this site know that already. Mainstream media is becoming increasingly aware of the $1.2 billion market though, as evidenced by pieces like the above from The Daily Show.
In the clip, correspondent Hasan Minhaj speaks with Campless founder Josh Luber, takes in the madness at Sneaker Con and meets with Benjamin Kickz, DJ Khaled's teenage sneaker plug.
The whole thing is done in the typical Daily Show tone, which results in amusing moments like Minhaj making onlookers cringe by folding a pair of "Bred" Jordan 1s in half and a skit at the end where Benjamin Kickz is imagined as some sort of sneaker godfather.
