If there's one knock to be made on the classic Nike Air Force 1 it's that the sneaker is too bulky, its weight very much reflective of a lower-tech time in sneaker design.
Nike solves that on this new iteration, the Air Force 1 Flyknit, which uses Flyknit uppers and cored outsoles to cut the weight in half, according to a Nike Sportswear teaser video.
The shoe is shown here in a red/black/white men's colorway that should be among the first to release. Watch for Flyknit Air Force 1s to make their retail debut in the next few weeks.
