Before Kobe Bryant signed his endorsement deal with Nike, he played the 2002-03 season as a sneaker free agent. Among the many brands he auditioned for that summer was Jordan Brand, who supplied him with Lakers-inspired Air Jordan Player Exclusives. Over the years, Bryant's Jordan PEs have been unattainable "grails" for sneakerheads to only dream of, but that could soon be changing.
According to ajordanxi, Jordan Brand will commemorate Bryant's career and looming retirement by releasing a special two-pack of his old Jordan PEs. The pack is said to include his highly coveted Air Jordan 3, along with the Air Jordan 8. That's also big news because the Air Jordan 3 has been absent from retail since Summer 2014.
As for a release date, while not confirmed, the early word is that the pack will be available in February with a price tag of $500. Check back for updates as this story develops.
