During a time when people weren't shamed for wearing Team Jordans, the newly minted Jordan Brand rolled out the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 — a shoe that hasn't exactly aged well since its 1998 release, but does resonate with 90s sneakerheads. For a lot of collectors, the Team 2 was the first Jordan shoe they ever owned. The good news is that it's back for another round in new and original colorways.
This pair, which falls under the latter, was linked to the California Golden Bears, a hoop program that continues to be outfitted by the Jordan Brand today. The school had its own PE make-up, but this version with bold Jordan print across the midsole also hit retail. The retro retains most of the original qualities, but is less yellowed and more wearable.
Look for the "Cal" Jumpman Team 2 at Jordan retailers in the coming weeks.
