"I liked it because it pissed a lot of people off," says tennis star Andre Agassi in a new video where he reminisces on the impact of his "Hot Lava" Nike Air Tech Challenge 2.

Agassi notes that the bright colors he wore so disturbed the tennis establishment that organizers at the French Open discussed adopting strict uniform guidelines a la Wimbledon. Nike recalled Agassi's most infamous French Open outfit as well recently, designing this retro after his denim shorts/hot pink kit.

Agassi also makes the important distinction between regular pink and the shoe's signature "Hot Lava" color in the video.
