The adidas Ultra Boost has already had some flashy upgrades – reflective Primeknit hit the shoe recently and adidas has multicolor versions in the works – but the shoe has never looked as gaudy as on this gold sculpture.
The shoe is part of a series spotted at Kenlu that seems to be a marathon tie-in (based on the translated text). It appears that the gold one references the Beijing Marathon, while the two ceramic pairs reference the Taipei Marathon.
Here's to hoping adidas continues to push the Ultra Boost forward and comes up with some designs that can match the neck-breaking appeal of these.
