The first image of next year's edition of the "Black History Month" Air Jordan 1 Retro has been revealed.

The photo comes courtesy of @23penny on Instagram and shows a black upper contrasted against a white outsole and branding. The featured element is the colorful Kente print utilized on the majority of the shoe. This year's design is quite the opposite last year's model which went with a primarily black and white color story.

This preview of the Air Jordan 1 is the latest from Nike and Jordan Brand's 2016 "BHM" collection joining Russell Westbrook's signature model, Kevin Durant's Nike KD 8 and LeBron James' Nike LeBron 13. And if history is any indication, these AJ 1s are anticipated to be the most coveted of the group.

No official information or release date has been announced just yet, but news should be coming sooner than later.
