In 2008-2009, Kobe Bryant and Trevor Ariza shared the court as teammates, as the Lakers won their first NBA championship since the early 2000s three-peat. Ariza then left for Houston in free agency, but the two have remained friends over the years.
Thursday night, the two reunited at Staples Center for the first of two games between the Rockets and Lakers in LA this season. Sensing that opportunities to share moments with his former teammate are dwindling, Ariza played the game in the "Home" Nike Kobe 4 POP — one of Bryant's shoes from their championship season together.
To make the pair even more special, Ariza visited Bryant in the locker room following the game and asked him to sign the shoes. As seen in the video below, Bryant obliged.
