It turns out the CNCPTS Miami location is built around a special sneaker release, the Concepts x Asics Gel Respector, shown for the first time here.
The shoe, which is the first collaboration for this retro Asics model, is inspired by the coca plant of Colombia and its infiltration of the streets of Miami in the '80s. The shoe has a tonal green suede upper, reflective paneling and Concepts branding on the tongue and insole. Pairs will come in a limited edition Concepts box made to look like a bundle of cash.
Concepts is going all out with its release of the shoe in Miami on Dec. 5, and will be picking up customers from an undisclosed location and bringing them to a secret stash house to purchase the sneakers. Details on that are to come via CNCPTS' social accounts.
The CNCPTS x Asics Gel Respector "Coca" will also release at the store's Cambridge and NYC locations on Dec. 5, with an online release to follow at noon on the same day.
