Michael Jordan's career was set back when he suffered a broken left foot early in his sophomore campaign. While that injury could have (and probably should have) sidelined him for the season, Jordan made a miraculous return in time for a playoff push and a legendary series against the Boston Celtics.
To help Jordan ease back into the game, Nike presented him with the Air Jordan 1.5, a model that combines the upper of the Air Jordan 1 with the cushioning and tooling of what would become the Air Jordan 2. On March 15, 1986, Jordan returned to the Bulls lineup against the Milwaukee Bucks — the team that inspired this new colorway of the Jordan 1.5. The shoe mixes the Bucks' 80s palette, resulting in a sand dune suede and gorge green make-up with white and red accents.
The release date for the "Gorge Green" Air Jordan 1.5 is set for next Saturday, Dec. 12.
