Steph Curry's North Carolina roots are honored on this upcoming version of his Under Armour signature sneaker.
The Under Armour Curry 2 shown is supposedly nicknamed the "Providence Road," and is a reference to where Curry grew up. The reigning NBA MVP was born in Akron, Ohio, but was raised in Charlotte, N.C., where his father played for the Hornets.
The "Providence Road" colorway has a red/white/blue look with an inner tongue tag made to look like North Carolina's flag.
According to poster FlashSole on NT, the sneaker release date on this pair is Nov. 28.
