Adidas can't claim Portland, Ore., to the same extent that a certain other footwear brand can, but it's made its mark on the city nonetheless.
It's giving back here with a special version of the adidas EQT Running Support '93 that references the city, complete with a graphic insole interpolating the infamous carpet at Portland's airport, "PDX" embroidery on the heel, and a coated fleece upper made to fight the city's rainy days.
According to adidas designer Josh Herr, who designed the shoe, there are also pairs on the way that reference adidas' offices in Herzogenaurach and Tokyo.
The good news is that these aren't available exclusively in Portland – Epitome in Atlanta has sizes available here.
