What ever happened to the American-made Nike Flyknit that Nike gifted President Obama? Even if the shoe never surfaces, there is another pair out there that was made in the U.S.
This Nike Flyknit Racer is billed on its tongue tag as being "assembled in U.S.A." Other than the tag calling out the unique origin and the "NIKE" lettering across the tongue, this pair looks very much like the orange Nike Flyknit Racer that was among the first couple of colorways to release.
If Nike does eventually bring shoe manufacturing back to the U.S., expect Flyknits to be a big part of that push. Until then, readers will have to stare at samples like these and dream about the future.
