While the Air Jordan XX3 might have been on wishlists of sneakers people were most wanting another chance at, it's safe to say nobody expected a retro to show up this year.
And yet, for the launch of Jordan Brand's first-ever store in Chicago this past weekend, this pair arrived. This first-ever Air Jordan XX3 retro is very much a tribute to the Windy City. Chicago's area codes appear on the inside of the tongues, embroidery on the heels references the city MJ played in and the stars on the collars nod to its flag.
Unfortunately, the masses won't get the chance to really enjoy this Air Jordan XX3 retro. The sneaker sold out at its Chicago debut, and there's no word yet on whether they'll release anywhere else. The limited release meant there were no official images of the shoes, only camera phone shots. Before they fade into memory and collectors turn to the next weekend's releases, here's a detailed look at the "Chicago" Air Jordan XX3.
