President Obama once called Kanye West a jackass, but it looks like the two Chicagoans have patched things up.
Though he's recently been buddy-buddy with Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson, Kanye was a performer at today's Democratic National Committee event in San Francisco. Perhaps looking to grease an important palm before his own bid in 2020, he didn't arrive empty-handed. Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian brought the president the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost and "Pirate Black" adidas Yeezy 350 Boost in sizes 12 and 11 1/2, respectively. Kim shared a photo of President Obama's tagged boxes on Instagram moments ago.
It's been a hell of a year in sneakers for President Obama. He visited Nike Headquarters in May, received a custom pair of Air Jordan 11Lab4s, was the first person to own the Jordan MTM Pack, has his own Kobe 10 Elite colorway and now owns two pairs of coveted Yeezys. Becoming president may actually be easier than buying all of these shoes collectively at retail.
