There aren't many sneaker boutiques that can claim the longevity or influence of Undefeated. The store, now a chain with a full-fledged clothing line, opened the doors at its first location back in 2002 when the idea of a "sneaker boutique" was still new.
More specifically, it was on this day 13 years ago that its first store, the La Brea location in LA, opened. Celebrating that moment, Undefeated took to Twitter today to show off these images from the early days of the La Brea store.
While the interior looks rather bare from the photo above, the sneakers in the shot more than make up for any lack of decor. Included in the display are Air Wovens, a gang of some of the more coveted Nike SB Dunks out there, and a super-rare sample version of the original UNDFTD x Nike Dunk High collab that features a grey sole rather than a gum one (even the gum version of the shoe was a friends and family only affair until its 2012 retro).
