Police in Merrimack, N.H., are searching for a group of thieves who racked $3,600 worth of sneakers from a Nike outlet this past Sunday.
The team consisted of five women and one man, all of whom spent 90 minutes in the outlet simply walking in and out the door with sneakers. 24 pairs of Nike LeBrons were stolen, which WMUR reports comes to $3,600 in merchandise.
Toward the end of the incident, one of the women in the group told employees at the store that her child was missing. Police believe that this was merely a diversion, perhaps started after someone in the group got spooked that workers at the Nike outlet were on to them.
Anyone with info on this sneaker crime is encouraged to call Merrimack police.
