Kevin Durant has many on-court idols, two of which are the inspiration behind this new colorway of the Nike KD 8.

While Nike is a bit vague with the identities of said idols in the official description, the "Vinary" nickname may clue us in. Durant has always maintained that Vince Carter (Vin) was his favorite player to watch growing up, while Larry Bird (ary) is the player from the past he'd like to have as a teammate the most. Bird's Celtics likely influence the black, white and green upper, while amplified Raptors colors take care of the midsole and outsole.

The sneaker release date for the "Vinary" KD 8 is set for next Thursday, Oct. 1. Matching apparel will be available as well.
