Since the Nike Cortez is coming back in its original form later this month, it's probably fair to give Nike some leeway to try out a brand new look for the silhouette that deviates from the original.
It's doing that with this new design, apparently called the Nike Cortez Chukka. The model doesn't have that angle to the upper that's usually associated with chukka designs, but it does have an extended height and more padding around the collar, which earns it the designation here.
There is no sneaker release date for this new take on the Nike Cortez DNA, but the model has already landed in Japan, so a U.S. arrival shouldn't be too far away.
