Details of the much anticipated KITH x High Snobiety x PUMA have finally been revealed.
The collaboration is officially called "A Tale of Two Cities" and celebrates the 10th anniversary of High Snobiety. Highlighting KITH's New York City roots and High Snob's Berlin base, the collaboration showcases two sneakers - RF-Blaze of Glory and the RF698S, which are Ronnie Fieg's reworked versions of popular PUMA silhouettes. The RF-Blaze of Glory utilzies a United States theme as the shoe features a navy quilted leather upper, contrasting red details and innner lining along with a speckled white Trinomic midsole.
The RF698S is done up in the colors of Germany with a deconstructed upper constructed of a smooth black nubuck. Sharp red details provide a stark contrast while a 3M German flag is incorporated into the shoe's medial side. With its fast Ducati-like appearance, Fieg designed the heel wrap to feature a moto-deboss pattern. Both silhouettes feature co-branded details.
In addition, special packaging has been created for the collaboration with each box continuing the U.S. and German theme while also doubling as a magazine holder to properly display issues of High Snobiety's print magazine. Each pair bought in store will come with a commemorative High Snob 10th anniversary issue that features a metallic silver KITH logo adorned on the cover that scratches off to reveal the flags of each respective country.
The shoes will release exclusively Friday, September 25 2015 at KITH Manhattan (644 Broadway), KITH Brooklyn (233 Flatbush Ave), Soto Berlin (Torstraße 72) and online at KithNYC.com at 11AM EST. Retail is set at $160 for each pair.
