As if he needed any more validation for being named one of the most legit celebrity sneakerheads in the game today, Spike Lee is readying another signature sneaker with the Jordan Brand.
Following the Spizike and Son of Mars, Spike will soon launch the Jordan Air Spike 40, confirmed by Sneaker News. The shoe's name likely references his famous 40 Acres and a Mule production company. Spike debuted a Knicks-themed orange colorway at Madison Square Garden for last night's WNBA playoff game.
A little less of a hybrid than his previous Jordan shoes, the Air Spike 40 is a mesh-constructed high-top with design cues loosely pulled from the Air Jordan 5. More details should be known soon, as the release date is set for Oct. 28.
