Another Air Jordan 1 is headed our way and for NBA basketball fans, the colors are a clear indication of its inspiration.

As owner of the Charlotte Hornets' franchise, Michael Jordan certainly will appreciate Jordan Brand's latest iteration of his original signature sneaker. The shoe carries an official colorway of "Bright Concord/Blue Lagoon-White" and while the colors clearly communicate the Hornets' theme, it's another nickname associated with these that have sneakerheads stumped.

Apparently, this pair is also known as "Feng Shui," which translates to "wind-water" in English, is the Chinese philosophy concentrated on a favorable arrangement of objects in an environment that allows for the better flow of energy. It's pretty deep considering we're talking about a pair of sneakers here. The shoe does have Chinese characters imprinted on the insole, but it's not clear what it says.

In reality, the shoe could simply commemorate the Hornets' appearance in the upcoming NBA Global Games this October when it matches up with the Los Angeles Clippers for preseason affairs in the Chinese city of Shenzhen on October 11 followed by a rematch in Shanghai on October 14.

Sole Collector reports that the Air Jordan 1 Retro "Hornets/Feng Shui" is slated to release on Saturday, October 10 and should be available at select Jordan Brand retailers and on NikeStore.
