Though we're fresh off the first adidas J Wall 2 release, we may already know what John Wall's third adidas signature sneaker will look like.
Earlier today, The Hoop Doctors shared an image of what they're calling a "super early" adidas J Wall 3 sample. The first thing you'll notice is that the shoe's design language is a lot different from anything currently being released by adidas' basketball category. The bootie construction and rope lacing system is a bit reminiscent of something from Y-3, and the fabric lace loops look similar to those featured on the Jordan Super.Fly 3. Wall's logo, surrounded by some kind of pattern, is present on the tongue, while the 3-Stripes have been scaled down and moved to the lateral heel. A unique texture around the midsole flows into an equally interesting new traction pattern, which surrounds Boost cushioning.
Whether or not this actually is the J Wall 3 remains to be seen, but new creative spaces and fresh faces could explain the shift in design. Keep it locked for updates as this story develops.
