It looks like the Nike Vapor Untouchable football cleat has some trouble holding up to the heat of the American South.
The pair shown was worn by defensive back Anthony Taylor, of Allen High School in Texas, during a practice this week and began to melt after temperatures in the Dallas-Forth Worth area reached 106 degrees. Taylor's trainer Mike Harrison showed off the separation on Twitter.

The Dallas Morning News caught up with Allen head coach Tom Westerberg who said that, while this doesn't happen often, he's seen some shoes melt in-game from the Texas heat.
