While the Nike KD 8 "4th of July" was the first colorway for Durant's eighth signature shoe to show up at retail, the "V8" one has been more associated with the model's roll out.
This time around more background is given on the shoe by Durant himself, who explains that the design gets its colors from his custom Camaro. That's right, the model doesn't have anything to do with the ongoing trend in sneaker design of slapping red colors on everything.
The "V8" KD 8s will release on July 11 for $180.
