Retro staple and increasingly popular sneaker choice for menswear types the adidas Stan Smith is getting outfitted with a sleek black leather look courtesy of Barneys NY.
The department store has of course had a Stan Smith of its own in the past, having gone with a more traditional white leather look in the 2014 pack that included the likes of Dover Street Market and colette. This time around the model deviates from the original by again stripping the perforations on the lateral side and reworking the heel.
The sneaker is part of a new collection from Barneys called the Sole Series, which will dish up eight collabs over the next six months with partners like Vans, Timberland, Converse, Filling Pieces, Diadora, Brooks, and Common Projects.
