The recently high-hitting structure of Kobe Bryant's Nike line has bled over into other categories, inspiring the NikeCourt Flare, which Serena Williams will wear at Wimbledon this year.
The shoe, designed by Aaron Cooper at Nike, was created in response to Williams' ankle issues and is getting a full retail release. According to Cooper, the silhouette was also inspired by kung fu masters and the idea of footwear being an extension of the body.
The model has been on-feet for Williams recently, and led her to her 20th Grand Slam title at the French Open this year.
The NikeCourt Flare, a women's only model, is available now in this white/metallic silver colorway via Nike.
