As the school where Michael Jordan was famously too short to make the varsity squad his sophomore year, Emsley A. Laney High School is hallowed ground.

Jordan Brand revisited the institution this year as part of its 30th anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan line. As part of its efforts in revamping what's now call the Michael Jordan Gymnasium, the brand installed something like a mini-museum inside that references key points in the history of Jordan.

There are original Air Jordan 1s. There is Michael Jordan's yearbook. There are even some rare press photos from when His Airness first signed up as a Nike athlete back in the 80s. See scenes from the setup via this rare inside look at the school where it all started for Jordan.
