Having already excelled in the custom game, Jake Ferrato of JBF Customs is taking on a new challenge — creating original silhouettes.

Today, Ferrato officially unveils his first sneaker, the Primo. He selected the name because it means “first” in Italian and is American slang for describing something of the highest quality. Ferrato, who is Italian himself, says he designed the Primo to be your next every day shoe.

The handmade sneaker is entirely constructed in vegetable tanned leather, with the flesh side wrapped around the collar. Dove colored suede lines the interior, along with cork insoles. Folded edges provide a refined look, while the tongue is marked with JBF’s handpainted ++ logo. Below sits a Margom sole, which can be replaced by Ferrato in the future.

Handmade to order, the Primo High-Top will be available beginning Thursday, June 4 at 1:00 p.m. EST for $1,000 on jbfcustoms.com.
