There are few models more important to this year's 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan than this Air Jordan 1 colorway that started it all.
Ahead of the sneaker's re-introduction this weekend, which comes complete with the original "Nike Air" branding, Complex's Russ Bengtson caught up with Peter Moore, the ex-Nike designer behind the legendary model. One of the gems that Moore drops is the story of how the original Jordan wings logo was sketched on a napkin during a flight, after he spotted a kid wearing a pair of replica pilot wings and made the connection between flight and Mike.
More on the history of this seminal Air Jordan shoe over at Complex.
