LeBron James started tonight's game shooting 0-10 from the field. He finished it with one of the all-time great performances in playoff history.
The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled out a 114-111 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Despite battling several injuries, James did everything for the Cavs, recording a stat line of 37 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists — the first ever of its kind in the playoffs.
Was it the shoes? James started the game in his wine-colored 'Double Helix' Nike LeBron 12 PE, then switched after shooting 0-9 in the 1st quarter. He finished the game in a Black/Yellow-Red colorway, also exclusive to him. James is famously superstitious, so an in-game shoe change isn't new territory for him.
