Around this time for the past 4 seasons, there's been a '.5' adidas D Rose signature sneaker release. This year, the .5 is absent, as adidas Basketball appears to be focusing on one model per season. So much that we're already seeing what's rumored to be the adidas D Rose 6 Boost.
Photos shared by Weibo user Miumiu131128 highlight a brand new Rose sample, equipped with full-length visible Boost cushioning. Though almost lifestyle in appearance, the mysterious sneaker is supported by a carbon fiber counter and unique strap execution reflective of heritage models and somewhat similar to the C10 from the Originals range.
Rose has maintained that he'd like his shoes to have off-court appeal for kids who may not be able to afford separate pairs for casual affairs and playing basketball. While this strap system may be functional, there's clearly a fashion play being made here as well.
As of now, there's no confirmation that his is the D Rose 6 Boost, but all signs point to that being the case. More on the story as it continues to develop.
UPDATE 5/26: More images of the adidas D Rose 6 Boost in a variety of new colorways.
