Yes, the base shoe is the 'Powder Blue' Air Jordan 3. However, Mache doesn't shortchange his clients — he says there's a clear difference between Powder and Carolina Blue. He used the latter to handpaint this sneaker, adding the Tar Heel logo to the tongues and an argyle print to the midsole and heel tab.
Mache had a strong presence on our list of the 50 greatest custom sneakers of all-time. Perhaps this pair will make the cut in a future update.
