Terrorist group ISIS has ordered its militants to stop wearing Nike gear.
The ban comes from a pamphlet, pictured below, that decries certain brands and styles of clothing. This isn't the first time the group has come out against the fashion choices of its members – it previously banned the wearing of skinny jeans. What's the reason for ISIS' deciding to forbid Nike? The group cites the brand's connection to the Greek goddess of victory of the same name and that the word "Nike" sounds close to the Arabic word for "fuck" (???).
The militants haven't been entirely compliant. Captured below is a Twitter exchange wherein one member defends his wearing of Nike.
