The "Tokyo Sakura Project" sneakers from Ronnie Fieg and Puma are a distinctly Japanese set, from their theme and inspiration to their overseas launch.

Fieg fans in the states need to worry about missing out though, as the man is bringing pairs stateside starting this weekend. Remember that this is the first time there's ever been a Puma R698 Mid, and Fieg actually designed this slightly higher take on the archival Puma running silhouette. The two shoes are inspired by the cherry blossoms that decorate Tokyo for a couple of weeks out of the year ("sakura" is the Japanese for cherry blossom).

The Ronnie Fieg x Puma "Tokyo Sakura Project" pairs will release on Saturday, March 28, at 11 am EST at both Kith stores in NYC and online.
