Reebok officially unveiled its next generation Pump shoe today, the Reebok ZPump Fusion, which is the brand is touting as the future of its efforts in the running category.

The sneaker has a lean build that's incredibly simple, and features just three parts–the sole, the Pump, and the sleeve–in contrast to most sneakers on the market that have upwards of 30 components. Reebok's leaning on the Pump tech has to do with its mission to solve the problem of the last, the piece in the manufacturing process that the shoe is wrapped around in order to determine shape.

The ZPump Fusion here is built without lasts, and instead relies on Pump tech to determine shape. Without the Pump, it's more like a sock with an outsole. But, with the proper inflation, the shoe will take shape and begin to conform to the unique shape of the wearer's foot. This idea of a more fluid shoe that better suits the users ties back to the brand's new "Be more human" slogan.

The Reebok ZPump Fusion debuts on March 10 from Reebok and partnered retailers.
