The 2015 Nike Basketball Elite series will debut on April 17, and again feature top-of-the-line pricing.
When Nike initially conceived the Elite series, one of the motivations was to create a collection that ignored price points entirely in the name of peak performance, so it shouldn't be surprising that the cheapest shoe of the bunch, the Nike KD 7 Elite, will cost $200. That being said, it is surprising that each of the Elite pairs match the prices of last year's Elite designs, which sort of suggests that Nike has hit a temporary ceiling in terms of basketball sneaker prices.
Prices are as follows: Nike Lebron 12 Elite at $275, Nike KD 7 Elite at $200, Nike Kobe 10 Elite at $225.
