There have been a couple of Nike Air Max 2015 pairs that have seemed very referential in their colorways.
There was an all-over silver that felt like an echo of the Nike Air Max 97, and then an infrared leaning pair that felt like a nod to the 1990 Air Max model. If this pair is trying to make any connection it would have to be to the Nike Air Max 95 and its most-famous "Neon" colorway. Then again, the shoe does little to pull over the instantly recognizable gradient that builds across the side of that shoe, so maybe that's sort of a stretch. Either way, the shoe manages to uphold the eye-catching standard of that shoe with its heavy volt usage.
