When the adidas Stan Smith Primeknit showed up last year, the sneaker never managed to touch down on domestic stores.

The good news is that the shoe is back for 2015, and places here in the U.S. will have pairs. The tech involved, the controversial Primeknit material that earned a Nike lawsuit at its debut, means that the shoes are much lighter in terms of weight but much heavier in terms of price. Speaking of Flyknit, it's interesting that adidas beat Nike to the punch in terms of introducing its knit tech to classic silhouettes.

This white/black version of the adidas Stan Smith Primeknit can be purchased now from Sneaker Politics.

UPDATE 3/3: adidas Originals promises a wider release of the Stan Smith Primeknit on March 14, retailers listed below.
