The Nike Air Max 1 Patch set shown here allows wearers to customize their sneakers, no NIKEiD needed.

Each pair comes bundled with 22 patches that reference different cities around the world, as well as the heritage of this important Air Max model. The shoes feature velcro sections on the tongue and heel that the patches can be put on as heads see fit. Still slightly confusing is the USA branding that shows up on the insoles.

The Nike Air Max 1 Patch in these three debut colorways will release on Feb. 26 at NikeLab locations worldwide and online. Nike also promises a U.S. release of the Air Max 1 Patch pairs on March 12.
