While the Air Jordan line is currently focused on bringing its silhouettes as close to the original shapes as possible, NikeLab is going the opposite direction.

The new NikeLab Dunk Lux High attempts to modernize this classic hoops shoe. A sleeker last is used which results in a slimmer shape. There's also a drop-in Lunarlon insole that upgrades the typical cushioning that's been found in Dunks for the past 30 years. Full grain leathers and quilt-stitch liners are also promised, and the shoe will debut in these stark black and white colorways. The NikeLab Dunk Lux High will launch first at 21 Mercer and NikeLab at DSM on Feb. 9, and will release at additional NikeLab locations and via Nike Sportswear on Feb. 12.
